Coming soon on the iOS App Store

Wikipedia, Flickr, 500px, Geograph* & Audioboom (was Audioboo) contain so much geo-tagged information, but as they're separate websites you can't see the information all on one screen; viewPOInts changes that. Search for Wikipedia POIs** nearby, on a map, or near your geo-tagged photos and then see Flickr photos/videos, 500px/Geograph photos or Audioboom recordings alongside the Wikipedia introduction. Beautifully simple. The website containing the text/picture/video/audio is then only one tap away if you'd like more information or to view in full.

A variety of ready make collections*** of POIs are also available (with more being added over time) which contain many POIs in the following categories:

  • Cadw (Welsh Heritage)
  • Cathedrals (UK)
  • English Heritage
  • Lighthouses (UK)
  • London Underground stations
  • National Trust for Scotland
  • National Trust (UK)
  • Summer Olympics stadia
  • Tallest Towers Worldwide
  • Winter Olympics stadia
  • Wonder of the World
  • Zoos (UK)

Follow @viewpointsapp on Twitter to find out about app updates.

* Geograph is only available for UK POIs.
** POI stands for Point Of Interest.
*** Collections are not meant to be exhaustive and may not contain all POIs in a category.
