Remote for Bye Bye Standby®
Remote for Bye Bye Standby® is a home automation application for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch which allows you to control devices within your home that are connected to Bye Bye Standby® sockets, via a Bye Bye Standby® Online Controller (version 2 only).
This application allows you to send commands to the online controller when you're connected to the same network via wifi, or even when you're out and about with a bit of network configuration and access to the Internet from another location*. Up to 6 pages, each containing up to 16 buttons can be added to the application, each of which can control one or more devices using the familiar A-P and 1-16 settings as on your existing remotes.

Tip: If you search the Internet for free icons using Safari on your iPhone/iPod touch you can touch and hold an image to save it to the Photos app. It can then be used to create a button icon. Or if your device has a camera, why not use a photo?
- Devices can be added to a button with "Manual", "On" or "Off" actions which allows a button to perform a specific action on a device. Buttons can also have a combination of manual or automatic actions.

New in v1.3:
- It's now possible to configure a button to not prompt you to control devices, as long as the button only contains automatic actions.
- A new "Local address" field has been added to the settings screen. If the app can't automatically connect to your Online Controller then its IP address can be entered here.
- Pages can now have a caption at the bottom of the screen.
* A static I.P. address and an iPhone is recommended if you wish to control your devices when away from home, otherwise you may not be able to send commands to the controller. If you do not have the technical skills to configure your broadband router to forward ports then you are advised to use this application only when connected to your home network via wifi as no support can be provided on router configuration.
